PLANO, TX. (April 26, 2012) — Well Go USA Entertainment has acquired all North American rights (theatrical, non-theatrical, home video, television, digital/electronic) to AND WHILE WE WERE HERE, Kat Coiro’s second collaboration with actress Kate Bosworth, following the 2012 comedy L!fe Happens. AND WHILE WE WERE HERE, which is inspired by a set of audio tapes Coiro (A Case of You) made of her late grandmother, premiered to great reviews at the 2012 Tribeca and Locarno Film Festivals, and will be released on Ultra VOD August 13 and in theaters September 13, 2013.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Island of Ischia, off Italy’s Amalfi Coast, AND WHILE WE WERE HERE follows a young American writer named Jane (Kate Bosworth) who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when she accompanies her husband Leonard (Iddo Goldberg) on a business trip. While escaping the mundane life of her strained marriage by adapting her grandmother’s WWII stories (narrated by Claire Bloom) into a memoir, she stumbles into a romantic affair with a younger man (Jamie Blackley) who complicates her life even further.
“We are excited to work with filmmaker Kat Coiro on this beautiful and artistic film,“ said Doris Pfardrescher, President, Well Go USA Entertainment. “It’s amazing how she has interwoven her personal inspiration of her grandmother’s stories with a compelling take on the needs we have in modern relationships.”
“I’m very pleased to be working with Well Go, who has shown a tremendous passion for the film,” said writer/director Coiro. “We believe the pre-theatrical On Demand distribution model will be a successful one for this project and I look forward to the collaboration with Doris and her team.”
AND WHILE WE WERE HERE was financed by Paris Kasidokostas Latsis and Terry Dougas’s 1821 Pictures and produced by Lauren Bratman and Coiro. Coiro also worked with Director of Photography Doug Chamberlain, Editor Adam Catino and Composer Mateo Messina on the project.
The deal was brokered between Pfardrescher and WME Entertainment’s Deb McIntosh on behalf of the producer.

Kate is in Japan right now, where she is promoting SK-II. Last night she appeared SK-II Luncheon. I’ve added to the gallery only 6 pictures of her taken by fans. I hope that there will be more photos soon.
Kate Bosworth might be a beauty and style icon now, but her first red-carpet appearance tells a different story. “I was 14 and my pants’ zipper broke,” Bosworth says. “I didn’t have a stylist, so mom had to safety-pin me in.” Since then, the newly engaged actress and ambassador for SK-II has become one of the most sought-after faces in a land of sought-after faces. We asked her to spill her beauty secrets.
Her Blue Crush blonde: A natural blonde, Bosworth isn’t afraid to go over to the dark side. “I dyed my hair for Wonderland. I love being a brunette and I really enjoy playing with hair color, but dye is just so hard on your hair,” says Bosworth. She’s also chopped bangs in the past. “That’s when I discovered my lovely little cowlick,” she admits.
Those two-toned eyes: Bosworth’s blue and hazel eyes are what helped make her famous. “It’s a defect, you know,” she says. “I actually notice it more when the light is very gray.” She rarely plays up her unique feature, but not for the reason you might think. “Quite honestly, it’s more of a maintenance thing. I find that if I wear eye makeup it comes down my face quickly,” says Bosworth. “It’s easier to maintain a mouth than an eye.”
The skin to die for: Bosworth, the glowy face of SK-II, says their famous sheet masks make the biggest difference on her skin. “I swear by the masks. I keep them in the minibar or fridge at home and leave them on for 45 minutes,” she says.
Her ring finger: As of last September, Bosworth has been rocking a stunning engagement ring from fiancè Michael Polish. “Michael chose my ring and I love it. He knows me so well to be able to choose something as significant as that,” says Bosworth. To highlight it, Bosworth treats her hands to the same routine as her face. “I use the SK-II Essence on my hands. My mother always told me you can tell a woman’s true age by the back of her hands,” she says. As for her upcoming nuptials, Bosworth isn’t letting the stress get to her. “I’m just letting it organically unfold,” she admits. “The ceremony and all the other aspects are just kind of details. I feel married in every sense of the word, and I have for a long time.”
